My dog Rocky is a healthy and
happy puppy (now 5 years old). He is a Shepherd / Terrier mix. His black and tan
coat shimmers and sparkles in the sunlight, and is like soft cotton to touch. A
Terrier's coat is usually rough to the touch.
Rocky is all one could hope
for in a dog. He is my best friend and constant companion. He shares my coffee
and bagel (or English muffin) in the morning, eats jalapeño peppers right out of
the can because he sees ME eat them, and he sleeps in my bed next to me.
Rocky walks himself in the
morning; usually patrolling the large parking lot and 5-acre patch of woods
adjoining it, here at the warehouse for any (what we call) "schpooters"
(skunks, raccoons, ducks, geese, groundhogs, etc.).
Rocky is a lovable dog with a
great disposition. He's afraid of thunderstorms (what we call) "thunder-boomers",
and he hears them way, way off in the distance and runs for cover - usually
under my desk if I'm working at the computer, or under the covers if I'm in bed.
other than his fear of thunder, Rocky is fearless. My friend once took him to a
local pub to show him off, and got mugged on the way home at 2 AM. Rocky grabbed
the mugger by the butt-cheek and held him screaming until the cops came. Rocky
came home that night drenched in blood in a squad car. The cops praised him for
holding the perpetrator until they arrived, and said the mugger was missing a
sizable piece of meat "back there", requiring over 100 stitches. Rocky ate steak
the next day when my friend got home from the hospital.
Well, you can see why Rocky

After you shampoo your pet (particularly during
shedding season) you will want to groom him / her, and
remove excess undercoat that will otherwise end up on your
carpet and under every piece of furniture where you can't
reach with a broom or a vacuum cleaner. For this purpose, I
highly recommend a grooming tool called "The Furminator".
